We are a group of high school/college students that serve as ambassadors for the Multicultural Alzheimer’s Prevention Program (MAPP) at MGH. Under the direction of faculty and postdoctoral fellows at MAPP, our mission is to promote brain health in the community. We post on social media accounts (twitter and instagram,) publish blog posts, record interviews, and attend educational seminars to inform the community. We understand that there is a lot that we can do at a young age to decrease our chances of having neurodegenerative disorders, such as Alzheimer’s, so we share the knowledge we gain around this topic with the community so they can best maintain optimal brain health. We also know that many of our peers are interested, or have the potential to become interested, in neuroscience, neurology, and psychiatry, so we strive to spark that interest with those around us.
